Towton on tv..they nearly got it right

Did any one else see the piece on Towton during the Countrywise programme this week. After the main presenter introduce the wars as a conflict between Lancashire and Yorkshire at the very start I thought here we go another ill informed piece of twoddle  . But when it came to the piece which was introduced by Bettany Hughes and Tim Sutherland it turned out to be a nice if short piece on the subject...apart from the shots taken from the Henry V film to show some combat footage  . well they tried.

I missed that, was it about the battle or the fact that planning permission has been put in for a 'travellers' camp site close to the battlefield? There was a piece on Radio York a few weeks ago about the proposed camp site and the implications it would have for the battlefield. I've tried to see if the Towton Battlefield Society had any information on it on their web site, but the last time I looked (just before Christmas) there was nothing.

Hello Mark R,

It was just about the battle they didn't mention the travellers camp.

Hi

For those who would still like to view this, go to

Plus points also - she is very easy on both the eyes and ears, also there is an Enya backing track, I think from Lord of the Rings ;)
