I was in Poland at the time, and it was on every news bulletin on the main network telly.

couldn't make out a word, but lots of pictures of folk in lots of tin having lots of fun in the heat- and something like 200 000 folk apparently spent the week camping out there watching - and it took over 12 hours to get 'out' at the end, due to the traffic struggling to get back onto the motorways.

the scale of it was astonishing.
